Borojó, Borojoa patinoi, Amazon borojo, Borojó fruit, Borojo tree, Borojoa

Alibertia patinoi

GERMINATION METHOD (direct sow vs start indoors, etc.) Sow in pots with a light, well-draining mix; keep warm and humid with airflow. PRE-TREATMENT (scarification / stratification / soaking, only if required) Soak 24–48 hours in lukewarm water to hydrate (often recommended). Fresh seed preferred. SOWING DEPTH 0.5–1 cm deep. LIGHT REQUIREMENT (light/dark to germinate) Not critical. TEMP RANGE 25–28°C. MOISTURE & MEDIUM Consistently moist but not wet. DAYS TO GERMINATE Often 20–45 days. NOTES (dormancy quirks, transplant tips, etc.) Use clean medium and containers. Pot up once several true leaves form, keeping roots intact.

Some of plants may have very have specific germination requirements that may not be covered in these general instructions.

Many seeds require pre-treatment before sowing which we try to list here when we can, but this information may not be present here.  Germination times and germination temperatures are to be a guide only.  Many factors can DRASTICALLY affect this.

It's always a good idea to research the specific germination requirements from multiple sources for each plant before attempting to grow them from seed.
