Asclepias incarnata

Asclepias incarnata: Asclepias incarnata, or Swamp Milkweed, seeds can be germinated using the cold stratification method. Moisten a paper towel and place the seeds on it. Fold the paper towel over the seeds, place it in a sealed plastic bag, and refrigerate for 30-60 days. After stratification, sow the seeds in well-draining soil, about 1/4 inch deep. Keep the soil consistently moist and provide a temperature of around 70-75°F (21-24°C). Germination may take several weeks.

Some of plants may have very have specific germination requirements that may not be covered in these general instructions.

Many seeds require pre-treatment before sowing which we try to list here when we can, but this information may not be present here.  Germination times and germination temperatures are to be a guide only.  Many factors can DRASTICALLY affect this.

It's always a good idea to research the specific germination requirements from multiple sources for each plant before attempting to grow them from seed.
