Germination of
Bolivicereus samaipatanus
Bolivian Cactus, Trichocereus bridgesii, Echinopsis lageniformis.
Bolivicereus samaipatanus: Bolivicereus samaipatanus is a cactus that grows in Bolivia. To germinate the seeds, start by soaking them in water for 24 hours. Then, fill a pot or seed tray with a well-draining cactus mix and plant the seeds about 1/4 inch deep. Cover the pot with plastic wrap or a clear lid to create a humid environment and place it in a warm location with bright, indirect light. Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. The seeds should germinate in 2-4 weeks.
Some of plants may have very have specific germination requirements that may not be covered in these general instructions.
Many seeds require pre-treatment before sowing which we try to list here when we can, but this information may not be present here. Germination times and germination temperatures are to be a guide only. Many factors can DRASTICALLY affect this.
It's always a good idea to research the specific germination requirements from multiple sources for each plant before attempting to grow them from seed.
