Germination of

Coleus scutellarioides 'blaze'

Wild Fire Blaze Coleus: Flame Nettle, Painted Nettle, Coleus Blumei, Wizard Coleus

Coleus scutellarioides 'blaze'

For successful germination of Coleus scutellarioides 'blaze', it is recommended to start the seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost date. The seeds should be sown on the surface of a good quality seed starting mix and kept moist. It is important to provide bright, indirect light and maintain a warm temperature of around 70F (21C) for optimal germination.

Some of plants may have very have specific germination requirements that may not be covered in these general instructions.

Many seeds require pre-treatment before sowing which we try to list here when we can, but this information may not be present here.  Germination times and germination temperatures are to be a guide only.  Many factors can DRASTICALLY affect this.

It's always a good idea to research the specific germination requirements from multiple sources for each plant before attempting to grow them from seed.
