GERMINATION METHOD (direct sow vs start indoors, etc.) Direct sow after frost risk when soil is warm, or start indoors 2–4 weeks before transplanting in biodegradable pots. PRE-TREATMENT (scarification / stratification / soaking, only if required) Optional overnight soak. SOWING DEPTH 2–3 cm (1 in.) deep. LIGHT REQUIREMENT (light/dark to germinate) Not applicable. TEMP RANGE Optimal germination often noted around 25–35°C. MOISTURE & MEDIUM Even moisture until emergence; well-drained, fertile soil. DAYS TO GERMINATE 7–14 days. NOTES (dormancy quirks, transplant tips, etc.) Protect seedlings from cool nights. Thin to strongest plant for airflow.

Some of plants may have very have specific germination requirements that may not be covered in these general instructions.

Many seeds require pre-treatment before sowing which we try to list here when we can, but this information may not be present here.  Germination times and germination temperatures are to be a guide only.  Many factors can DRASTICALLY affect this.

It's always a good idea to research the specific germination requirements from multiple sources for each plant before attempting to grow them from seed.
