Germination of
Dracaena Draco ' Draco'
Dragon's Blood Tree: Socotra Dragon Tree, Dragon Blood Tree, Dragon Tree
The seeds should be sown in well-draining soil that has been moistened with water. They can be planted in individual pots or in a seed tray, and should be covered with a thin layer of soil or vermiculite.
It is important to maintain a warm and moist environment for the seeds to germinate. A temperature of around 25-30C (77-86F) is ideal, and the soil should be kept evenly moist but not waterlogged. Germination can take several weeks to several months, depending on the seed quality and environmental conditions.
Some of plants may have very have specific germination requirements that may not be covered in these general instructions.
Many seeds require pre-treatment before sowing which we try to list here when we can, but this information may not be present here. Germination times and germination temperatures are to be a guide only. Many factors can DRASTICALLY affect this.
It's always a good idea to research the specific germination requirements from multiple sources for each plant before attempting to grow them from seed.
