Germination of

Gliricidia sepium

Quick Stick - Pilosocereus pachycladus, Quick Stick Cactus

Gliricidia sepium

Gliricidia sepium: Gliricidia sepium seeds should be sown in a container filled with well-draining potting soil. The seeds should be lightly covered with soil and kept moist at all times. The container should be covered with a clear plastic bag or lid and placed in a bright location out of direct sunlight. Germination should occur in 1-2 weeks. Once the seedlings have emerged, they can be transplanted to individual containers with the same soil mixture. Gliricidia sepium plants prefer well-draining soil and full sun.

Some of plants may have very have specific germination requirements that may not be covered in these general instructions.

Many seeds require pre-treatment before sowing which we try to list here when we can, but this information may not be present here.  Germination times and germination temperatures are to be a guide only.  Many factors can DRASTICALLY affect this.

It's always a good idea to research the specific germination requirements from multiple sources for each plant before attempting to grow them from seed.
