Germination of

Graptopetalum amethystinum

Lavender Pebbles: Lavender Stones, Lavender Gravel, Lavender Nuggets, Lavender Rocks

Graptopetalum amethystinum

Graptopetalum amethystinum: Graptopetalum amethystinum, also known as the lavender pebble plant, can be propagated through stem or leaf cuttings, but it can also be grown from seed. The seeds can be sown in a well-draining cactus soil mix. The seeds should be lightly pressed into the soil and kept moist. The ideal temperature for germination is between 20C to 25C. Germination can take anywhere from 2 weeks to a few months, depending on the conditions.

Some of plants may have very have specific germination requirements that may not be covered in these general instructions.

Many seeds require pre-treatment before sowing which we try to list here when we can, but this information may not be present here.  Germination times and germination temperatures are to be a guide only.  Many factors can DRASTICALLY affect this.

It's always a good idea to research the specific germination requirements from multiple sources for each plant before attempting to grow them from seed.
