Germination of
Hechtia Dyckia Deuterocohnia ssp. Mix
Dwarf Bromeliad Mix: Air Plant Mix, Miniature Bromeliad Mix, Tillandsia Mix
The seeds of these plants can be germinated in either a seed tray or individual pots filled with well-draining, moist soil mix. It is recommended to use a mix of 70% perlite and 30% peat moss to provide good drainage and aeration. Sow the seeds on the surface of the soil and do not cover them with any soil. Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged, and place the tray or pots in a bright location with filtered sunlight. Germination may take anywhere from 2 weeks to several months depending on the species.
Some of plants may have very have specific germination requirements that may not be covered in these general instructions.
Many seeds require pre-treatment before sowing which we try to list here when we can, but this information may not be present here. Germination times and germination temperatures are to be a guide only. Many factors can DRASTICALLY affect this.
It's always a good idea to research the specific germination requirements from multiple sources for each plant before attempting to grow them from seed.
