Germination of
Hesperaloe parviflora
Red Yucca - Hesper Aloe: Coral Yucca, Red-flowered aloe
Hesperaloe parviflora seeds can be sown indoors at any time of the year. Fill a seed tray with seed-starting mix and moisten it. Sow the seeds on top of the mix and lightly cover them with more mix. Keep the tray in a warm and bright location, and mist the seeds daily to keep them moist. Germination usually occurs within 2 to 3 weeks. Once the seedlings have reached a size where they can be easily handled, they can be transplanted into individual pots.
Some of plants may have very have specific germination requirements that may not be covered in these general instructions.
Many seeds require pre-treatment before sowing which we try to list here when we can, but this information may not be present here. Germination times and germination temperatures are to be a guide only. Many factors can DRASTICALLY affect this.
It's always a good idea to research the specific germination requirements from multiple sources for each plant before attempting to grow them from seed.
