Germination of
Lithops salicola "Sato's violet"
Violet Lithops: Living Stones, Flowering Stones, Stone Plants

For Lithops salicola "Sato's violet", soak the seeds in water for 24 hours before sowing them in a well-draining mixture of equal parts of sand, perlite, and peat moss. Cover the container with clear plastic or a glass lid to maintain high humidity levels and place it under fluorescent lights or in a bright, indirect light location. The temperature should be around 70-80F (21-27C) during the day and 60-70F (15-21C) at night. The seeds should germinate in about 2-3 weeks.
Some of plants may have very have specific germination requirements that may not be covered in these general instructions.
Many seeds require pre-treatment before sowing which we try to list here when we can, but this information may not be present here. Germination times and germination temperatures are to be a guide only. Many factors can DRASTICALLY affect this.
It's always a good idea to research the specific germination requirements from multiple sources for each plant before attempting to grow them from seed.
