For Lithops salicola "Sato's violet", soak the seeds in water for 24 hours before sowing them in a well-draining mixture of equal parts of sand, perlite, and peat moss. Cover the container with clear plastic or a glass lid to maintain high humidity levels and place it under fluorescent lights or in a bright, indirect light location. The temperature should be around 70-80�F (21-27�C) during the day and 60-70�F (15-21�C) at night. The seeds should germinate in about 2-3 weeks.
