Germination of

Lobivia sylvestris

Peanuts Cactus: Peanut Cactus, Rat Tail Cactus, Rat's Tail Cactus, Monkey Tail Cactus, Fish Bone Cactus

Lobivia sylvestris

Lobivia sylvestris: Lobivia sylvestris seeds can be sown in well-draining soil mix at any time of the year. Scatter the seeds over the soil surface, then lightly press them into the soil. Keep the soil moist and place the container in a location with bright, indirect light. Germination can take anywhere from 1-4 weeks, depending on the conditions. Once the seedlings have developed their first true leaves, they can be transplanted into individual pots.

Some of plants may have very have specific germination requirements that may not be covered in these general instructions.

Many seeds require pre-treatment before sowing which we try to list here when we can, but this information may not be present here.  Germination times and germination temperatures are to be a guide only.  Many factors can DRASTICALLY affect this.

It's always a good idea to research the specific germination requirements from multiple sources for each plant before attempting to grow them from seed.
