Musa itinerans 'Burmese Blue': Musa itinerans 'Burmese Blue,' or Burmese Blue Banana, seeds can be germinated using the baggy method. Moisten a paper towel and place the seeds on it. Fold the paper towel over the seeds, place it in a sealed plastic bag, and store it in a warm location. After 2-3 weeks, sow the pre-germinated seeds in well-draining soil, about 1/2 inch deep. Maintain a temperature of around 75-85°F (24-29°C) and keep the soil consistently moist. Germination may take several weeks.
