Physalis alkekengi seeds can be started indoors or sown directly in the garden in the fall. To start indoors, sow the seeds 1/4 inch deep in a well-draining seed starting mix and keep moist. Provide bright, indirect light and a temperature of around 70�F (21�C) for optimal germination.
