Germination of

Sedum rupestre

Sunsparkler Sedum "Dream Dazzler": Stonecrop Sedum, Succulent Sedum, Sedum Dazzleberry, Showy Stonecrop

Sedum rupestre

Sedum rupestre: Sedum rupestre, also known as stonecrop, is a succulent that is native to Europe and Asia. To germinate the seeds, plant them in a well-draining potting mix and keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. The ideal temperature for germination is between 60-75F (16-24C). The seeds should start to germinate in 2-3 weeks. Once the seedlings have sprouted, gradually introduce them to more sunlight and water them only when the soil has dried out.

Some of plants may have very have specific germination requirements that may not be covered in these general instructions.

Many seeds require pre-treatment before sowing which we try to list here when we can, but this information may not be present here.  Germination times and germination temperatures are to be a guide only.  Many factors can DRASTICALLY affect this.

It's always a good idea to research the specific germination requirements from multiple sources for each plant before attempting to grow them from seed.
