Germination of
Sedum spurium 'Voodoo'
Voodoo Sedum: Jelly Bean Plant, Stonecrop, Pork and Beans
Sedum spurium 'Voodoo' is a hardy plant that can tolerate a range of conditions. Sow the seeds in early spring, as soon as the ground thaws, in a well-draining soil mix that contains peat moss, perlite, and sand. Press the seeds gently into the soil, but do not cover them as they require light for germination. Water the seeds lightly, and keep the soil moist until the seeds germinate. Place the pot in a location with full sun exposure and maintain regular watering.
Some of plants may have very have specific germination requirements that may not be covered in these general instructions.
Many seeds require pre-treatment before sowing which we try to list here when we can, but this information may not be present here. Germination times and germination temperatures are to be a guide only. Many factors can DRASTICALLY affect this.
It's always a good idea to research the specific germination requirements from multiple sources for each plant before attempting to grow them from seed.
