Indian tulip tree seeds need to be scarified before planting to aid germination. Soak the seeds in warm water for 24 hours, then nick the seed coat with a knife or sandpaper. Plant the seeds in well-draining soil, covering them lightly. Keep the soil consistently moist and place the container in a warm, sunny location. Germination usually occurs within 2 to 4 weeks.
