Compliments Airplant: Tillandsia, air plant, ball moss, Spanish moss, old man's beard
Tillandsia complanata: Tillandsia complanata, a type of air plant, can be propagated by seed or by division of offsets. To germinate the seeds, scatter them on top of a well-draining potting mix and mist them with water until the soil is moist. Keep the soil warm (around 70-75F) and humid, covering the pot with a plastic bag or dome, until germination occurs, which can take up to 4-6 weeks.
Some of plants may have very have specific germination requirements that may not be covered in these general instructions.
Many seeds require pre-treatment before sowing which we try to list here when we can, but this information may not be present here. Germination times and germination temperatures are to be a guide only. Many factors can DRASTICALLY affect this.
It's always a good idea to research the specific germination requirements from multiple sources for each plant before attempting to grow them from seed.
