Tillandsia gardneri

Tillandsia gardneri, also known as the scarlet air plant, is an epiphytic plant that grows without soil. To propagate the plant, wait for it to produce offsets, or "pups", which are smaller plants that grow from the base of the mother plant. Gently separate the pup from the mother plant, taking care not to damage the roots. Plant the pup in a well-draining potting mix or attach it to a piece of wood or other support. Mist the plant regularly and place it in a bright location, but out of direct sunlight. The plant will continue to grow and produce its own pups over time.

Some of plants may have very have specific germination requirements that may not be covered in these general instructions.

Many seeds require pre-treatment before sowing which we try to list here when we can, but this information may not be present here.  Germination times and germination temperatures are to be a guide only.  Many factors can DRASTICALLY affect this.

It's always a good idea to research the specific germination requirements from multiple sources for each plant before attempting to grow them from seed.
