Viola x wittrockiana, commonly known as Pansy, can be germinated indoors 8-12 weeks prior to the last frost. Start by sowing the seeds in a well-draining soil mix and press them gently into the soil surface. Keep the soil moist and the temperature between 65-70�F. Once the seedlings have developed their second set of true leaves, transplant them into individual containers. Continue to keep the soil moist and the temperature between 60-65�F. After the last frost, transplant the seedlings outdoors into a sunny or partially shaded location.
